Veterans are always top of mind to the members at a DAR chapter, and the Hendrick Hudson Chapter’s members are no exception to that rule. This year, for the DAR Day of Service on October 11th, members gathered to begin writing holiday cards to veterans residing in Columbia County facilities. Then, early in December, those cards were distributed to a list of veterans at the Hudson Fireman’s Home, Livingston Hills Nursing & Rehabilitation, Ghent Rehabilitation & Nursing, The Grand Rehabilitation & Nursing at Barnwell, and Pine Haven Rehabilitation & Nursing.
There were lots of smiles and wishes for a merry holiday season all around.
