Flag Day at the Historic Elmendorph Inn

​The Hendrick Hudson Chapter enjoyed a special Flag Day luncheon in Red Hook in June at the 1780s Elmendorph Inn on the Albany Post Road. Our speaker for this year of America250! was local author, educator, and veteran Mark Clarke, who gave a stirring talk entitled "Our Flag: An American Story."

​Flag Day: A Patriotic Picnic, 1950s Style

At its Historic Robert Jenkins House, the Hendrick Hudson Chapter celebrated Flag Day with a "picnic" that harked back to the 1950s, when Flag Day became a national holiday. Think Harry Truman time ... A short business meeting featured the swearing in of officers elected to the 2025-2028 term.
