Osterink to Receive Community Service Award

The Hendrick Hudson Chapter, NSDAR is pleased to announce that Carole Osterink will be receiving this year’s Community Service Award at our upcoming November meeting, Monday  Nov. 18, 1PM.

The Daughters of the American Revolution presents Community Service Awards on local, state, and national levels to individuals and groups who have contributed to their communities in an outstanding voluntary, heroic, civil, or benevolent manner, or who have participated in or organized community activities.

Growing up in Michigan and spending a significant part of her life in Manhattan, Ms. Osterink has lived in Hudson since the early 90s. Inspired by the scenic and historical surroundings of the Hudson Valley, Ms. Osterink lives as a writer. She also runs the popular blog, The Gossips of Rivertown.

Ms. Osterink will receive her award at the Robert Jenkins House, where the Monday meeting will be held. The meeting will begin at 1pm with the award being presented around 2pm. As always, the meeting is free and open to the public.
