The Chapter was very pleased to contribute to this stunning exhibit of landscape paintings at the Columbia County Historical Society, loaning six important works from its collection at the Robert Jenkins House. On loan to the exhibit are paintings by Henry Ary, Arthur Parton, Ernest Parton, Robert Fulton Ludlow, and George McKinstry.
Two–Henry Ary’s Mount Merino and Arthur Parton’s Sunshine and Rain–enjoy particularly prominent placements in the exhibition. Paintings by John Bunyan Bristol and Robert Fulton Ludlow owned by a chapter member and her husband are also displayed.
The exhibit opened on June 26th and runs until year-end. It is open Tuesday through Thursday, 10:30am-4pm, and Friday and Saturday, 10:30am-2:30pm, at the Columbia County Historical Society’s Museum and Library at 5 Albany Avenue in Kinderhook, NY.
