Bank of Greene County Supports Hendrick Hudson Chapter Restoration Project

The Hendrick Hudson Chapter, NSDAR, was pleased and honored to be included amongst the Bank of Greene County Charitable Foundation’s many awardees again this year. At its Greenport branch award ceremony on June 23rd where grant funds were handed out, the chapter received $750 towards the restoration of the Robert Jenkins House. When matched by funds from the National Park Service’s Save America’s Treasures grant, it brought the chapter $1,500 closer to the completion of the electrical upgrade on the chapter house’s first floor, a critical element in its restoration project.

The Save America’s Treasures grant was awarded in late 2021 and completed in June 2026.

Previous grants from the Bank of Greene County Charitable Foundation assisted with badly needed project elements such as replacement of the slate roof, repair of upper masonry, and new box gutters.
